Basic Design shall be made to achieve the project’s objectives, suit construction works of the project, ensure synchronism between works when they are put into exploitation and use.

• It includes establishing process operating conditions and necessary equipment
• Defines reliability, efficiency, and safety requirements
• Develops the design basis, including raw material specs, plant capacity, and regulatory requirements
• Includes all details needed for final engineering
• Ensures a smooth transition to detail engineering
• Covers both Inside Battery Limits (ISBL) and Outside Battery Limits (OSBL) design requirements

Key deliverables: Material & Energy Balance, Process Flow Diagrams, Layouts, preliminary Budget and Schedule
